Today is a SPECIAL, SPECIAL, SPECIAL dedication to someone very important to me. My number one favorite model, and source of inspiration, my baby niece Jayla. Her child innocence has given me the inspiration for some of my best shots that I use in my portfolio and her spirited personality makes her a joy to be around/work with. Even from the time she was a baby, she loved for me to take pictures of her. I have never once seen her hide from the sight of my lens. Every time she has seen me without my camera she says to me "Wait a minute, you're not my Uncle Paul". Even times when I do have my camera, she makes me laugh so much, I lose my train of thought to what kind of picture I want.She really is one of a kind.
A lot of my shots with her came out better than I could've imagined. I wouldn't necessarily call it accidental though; I honestly don't believe in things like this being accidents. Everything happens for a reason. I would like to think she gave me the power to make these shots as beautiful as they are. I guess you can say as much as she looks up to me, I also look to her with that same love and respect. I hope to continue getting my inspiration from her and that my skills will bloom just as beautifully as I know She will when she becomes a young woman.
